Stopped in for lunch and not 4 pounds of boiled crawfish and potatoes. The spice was perfect because my lips were tingling but not not crazy. I loved that the potatoes had been boiled with the crawfish and that yummy flavor that I was looking for. My waiter was fantastic he checked on me at least 5 or 6 times and he kept my sweet tea glass full he also brought out butter for boiled potatoes also brought out cocktail sauce for the crawfish. I have zero complaints! Perfect food! Perfect Service! Fantastic location

If you've been to one Sammy's then you've been to them all. They're pretty consistent on the menu items. Good service and the overall look and feel of the restaurant is the same as you would expect. They have some of the best crawfish in this area in terms of taste and juiciness, however, the pricing is through the roof. I would like for them to get some larger crawfish because the ones they offer are medium to small. With all this being said, I'm a fan Sammy's but I refuse to pay that ridiculous price again. I think the crawfish is like $6.50-$7 per lbs and that's the highest in the region.

Sammy's Grill is the spot when it comes to Cajun/Southern food. The food here is always consistent and is extremely tasty. We always get the fried cheese, it's very crispy and super cheesy on the inside. It's also a great appetizer to share with the table. My favorite is the fried pork chops with red beans and rice. It's so savory and flavorful. And it comes with cornbread on the side. The Cajun burger is also really good if you like BBQ sauce and bacon. There's so much to choose from, sometimes I like to get the Hamburger Steak with steamed veggies or the Acadian Catfish which has crawfish etouffee on top. Seafood Fettuccine is also superb! For dessert, I've only had the White Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding which is awesome but I hear the Peach Cobbler is amazing as well. If you're fortunate enough to come here during Crawfish season then you should get 5lbs of crawfish here with corn and potatoes. You cannot go wrong with Sammy's crawfish. It's boiled at the right spicyness and flavor. Sizing of the crawfish is also legit. Don't forget that they also have lunch specials for every day of the week (Mon - Fri). Service is also excellent, the servers make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. From napkins, to extra sauce, to refilling drinks the staff stays on point to make sure that you are accommodated. I love Sammy's Grill and I can talk about how much I love this place all day, any day of the week. If you are indecisive about dinner plans, you can't go wrong with Sammy's.

Love eating at Sammy's, the staff is always friendly and the food is great. I have eaten at the one in Central, LA and the one in Prairieville, LA and both are a good choice for lunch and dinner. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday evening and was still beat the dinner rush. We were seated immediately and our waitress was very pleasant. Enjoyed a nice adult beverage while looking over the menu. I would recommend the fried aligator or the fried green tomatoes topped with crab meat for an appetizer. I always seem to get the catfish acadian, fried catfish on a bed of rice topped with crawfish ettouffee. Definately earns my 5 stars.

It's been a long time since I've been to Sammy's and I've never been to this location but I really liked it. Our server Nathan was awesome! My boyfriend never compliments a server and for him to mention that he did a good job is rare. He was on top of our drinks, he brought me enough lemons for my catfish without me having to ask (I use a lot.) and we were never having to hunt him down. The blackened alligator was awesome! It was definitely better than The Chimes bc it was tastier and it wasn't chewy. They've got them beat on their house salads too. The market salad that comes with a lot of their dishes is awesome! It comes with tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, eggs and green leaf lettuce. Most places give you that crappy little pre-made salad with the shredded carrots and cabbage, I'm glad they don't give you that here. The crab bisque was delicious! I regret not taking Nathan's advice and ordering the bowl instead of the cup. The seafood platter was huuuge. I don't really like oysters but these were actually good. The catfish was yummy, the shrimp were pretty big, they put a lot of crawfish on there and the stuffed crab seemed like it was over stuffed. Oh and I loooved the garlic bread, I wish they would've put 2 pieces on there. We got the peach cobbler to go and that was the only thing that I would say I wouldn't order again. It definitely wasn't bad it just wasn't as good as all the other stuff. Next time I'll probably try the white chocolate blueberry bread pudding. Besides the cobbler, everything was VERY delicious so I hope the other locations are just as good.

Can I just say service made me give 5 stars. The food was good. Drinks were good. Service was the best I've had in a while. It surprised me for some reason. But I'm glad I came here when I did. We got the spinach& artichoke dip with a few margaritas. Then I got buffalo shrimp & loaded fries. He gave me ranch for both . My mom got oysters with onion rings. We ordered 3 fried shrimp plates & 3 bread puddings. We started to get martinis after. Food was great I just can't get over how comfortable & great it felt to not be rushed or be bothered too much. Sometimes it's hard to find that in between. I kind of had a bad day so I'm so glad I had such a good dining experience to turn it around. Will come back. Specifically this location. Great place.
